surprise.

I went on a surprise trip for my birthday weekend and it was kind of amazing. The day before we left, A/J told me to pack warm clothes, so I loaded up with coats and hats and scarves. It took a while to get there and when we finally did, my eyes turned into waterfalls and I was left without words. It was so pretty and so perfect in Lake Arrowhead. We stopped off at Santa's Secret Village, which was my favorite place to go when I was younger. Imagine a Christmas themed amusement park in the snow, with a reindeer petting zoo, Gingerbread factory and a train! It closed down long ago, but we went in and relived my childhood memories. We stayed in a cozy, little cabin on the top of a hill and it was beautiful in every way. It really was the nicest time I've ever spent, where the ground was covered in a blanket of snow and I was bundled up in layers upon layers. I can't recall the last time I've been that happy.
