sincerely sweet.

This is kind of strange for me, but it seems like lately I’ve been drawn to the color pink. Don’t get me wrong, pink has always been my favorite color to see, but my least favorite color to wear. I always thought it was too girly or even tacky to wear (maybe Paris Hilton gave me the wrong idea?). Anyhow, I recently opened my closet to pink! I love the feminine touch it gives and how simple and ladylike it can be. A good example of “pink done right” is this amazing Fringe Textured Jacket from Sincerely Sweet Boutique! It has become such a staple piece of mine! I can’t wait to wear it more often during Fall/Winter. :)

casual.

This is probably the most casual you’ll ever see me. I’m hardly ever in jeans and without heels, but I figured it would be a nice change. I found these Generic Man Boots laying around the LA Canvas office and decided to style them into an outfit. The pop of pink definitely brightens up the black&white tones and adds to the edgy/rocker look.

jean & nadia.

I usually don’t post about these kind of things, but I’ll make an exception since this was such an amazing discovery! Anyhow, this past weekend, A/J and I went to the anime expo in downtown LA. We don’t know much about anime but we’re always interested in unique, different & fun activities. So, we were excited to see everyone dressed up and all of the booths. Things got weird when people started congratulating us on our costumes (we were dressed like we normally do) and asking to take photos of us. It turns out there’s a popular anime show called “Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water” and the main characters are a couple (Jean & Nadia), who are pretty much the cartoon version of A/J & I. It was such a delightful surprise! We did some google research and Jean resembles A/J down to a T, as they are both incredibly smart, funny, generous, patient, kind… and pretty much the most wonderful people ever. I am grateful every day for A/J and it makes sense that the only thing that comes close to how amazing he is, had to be made up. haha. Here are some photos I found:

Billabong sent me this jacket from their Designer Closet Collection. I was actually planning on wearing it for Fall/Winter in LA, but I’ve found myself throwing it on at night and wearing it over summer dresses and skirts. I guess it’s perfect for all seasons. :)

top five lace dresses.

If you’ve read some of my latest post then you know that I’m a huge fan of the “The Lace Dress”. I feel like it’s a more elegant take on The Little Black Dress, which is a must have piece in the fashion world. I’ve always thought Lace Dresses were classic and timeless enough to wear to any party or event. The perfect lace dress is definitely my “go to” when I know I have to attend a more than casual event and I’m in a rush. Plus, you can never go wrong with lace..even if you think it may be too fancy..just remember what Oscar Wilde said, “You can never be over dressed or over educated!” 😉 Now, here are my top five favorite lace dresses:

Elegant Lace Dress with Long Sleeve

Chic Sleeveless Round Neck Lace Dress

Darling Lace Amelia Dress

Lady Long Sleeve Lace Dress

Baby Collar Medium Sleeve Black Lace Dress

What’s your favorite lace dress?
