gobble gobble give.

Thanksgiving was such a wonderful day! AJ & I woke up early to volunteer for Gobble Gobble Give. We delivered SO much food and clothes to the homeless. It made my day to see the smiles on their faces and how appreciative they were of everything. It also broke my heart to see how simple things like soap and toothpaste, can mean so much to someone. There’s a lot to be thankful for. Every day. I can’t wait to volunteer again for Christmas.

giving thanks.

This is the outfit I’m wearing tomorrow to volunteer with my favorite guy. We’re going to help put together meals for the homeless. Then I’m off to help my mom cook, eat dinner with my family and spend the remainder of the evening with my friends in LA. I’m so thankful to have such wonderful people in my life. I’ve truly been blessed.

I’m also very thankful for each and every one of you for following my blog and always being so kind to me. It means so much. Happy Thanksgiving!!

very.

Just a few of my favorite items from Very.com. It’s a UK brand site that’s now open to the US. Clothes from the UK are my absolute favorite because I don’t have to worry about running into anyone wearing the same thing, the styles are more fashion-forward and the clothes always fit me better. So, of course I love Very since they carry some of my favorite UK brands (French Connection, Diana Vickers, Love Label) and they’re affordable. I already plan on getting the black coat with the bow around the neck. It’s so perfect for winter! If you sign up to this widget by clicking HERE you’ll get special Black Friday/Cyber Monday offers and amazing discounts on clothes!! :)

amory blaine.

I really like the whole “sweater over collared dresses” look. Especially for Fall/Winter. Considering how the weather’s been lately, I’ll be wearing it more often than not. I actually wore this outfit to spend the day drinking tea and reading “This Side of Paradise” By Fitzgerald. Such a simple, happy day. I have such a long reading list and I’m constantly adding to it. I plan on reading both of Sarah Ockler’s novels and another John Grisham novel before the year is over. Also- I’m happy that Ockler and John Green are releasing novels in January. I already have my calendars marked. What are you reading?! :)

key art awards.

My good friend, Michael was a judge at the Key Art Awards last month and took my brother&I as his guests. It was hosted by The Hollywood Reporter and held at the ArcLight Cinema on Sunset Blvd. The ceremony was such a great experience and was so much fun to watch! I never realized the amount of work that went into movie trailers. It really gave me an appreciation for them. The afterparty was at Boulevard 3 and was an event in itself! Complete with an open bar, a violinist DJ, photobooths, delicious food and endless desserts that were brought to you on a tray. It was a magical night and I was so proud of Michael for being a part of something so wonderful.

Oh & my brother&I were featured on HollywoodReporter.com. Yay!

fall favorites.

Finally autumn is here and I’m finding myself being drawn to burnt oranges and golden browns and all those other colors that summer washed away. Living in California..it’s never really fall or winter, but I still can’t wait to wear light layers and little hats and floral dresses with textured tights and oxford boots! As for fall patterns&prints, I’ve become a huge fan of polka dots and “hearts”. Lately, I want them on everything. Oh and of course, like always, pretty little bows. They will always be my favorite. Anyhow, Here are my favorite things for the coming season:

Nadinoo dresses.

Marc by Marc Jacobs earrings in my favorite shapes!

Marc Jacobs ruffled Colorblock blouse.

Suspender Thigh Highs and Polka dot tights! Both from ModCloth.com

When it rains, it pours! This is perfect for those days..Plus, it will always be a little brighter under your umbrella.

little lace up oxfords in suede and leopard print.

Polka dots! So classy and feminine. Great for those nights out on the weekdays.

I recently fell in love with Laugh Cry Repeat after attending an event they hosted last month. I made a post about the top that I got here and since then I’ve been addicted. I want more pretty shirts with pretty hearts. I think they’d be perfect for layering in the fall and are so simple and easy to wear.

A new brand that I love Lamb&Flag (they’re opening stores all across Orange County) carries my favorite pants ever! They’re the best slim-fitting pants and the fit is just perfect. It’s SO hard for me to find bottoms that fit well, so I’m happy about these.

8000 nerves! I’ve posted about this brand before and I’ll do it again because it really is one of my favorites. I can go on and on about how wonderful and talented the designer, Efi Green is but then I’d just end up writing a novel. Heh. I’m excited to wear her pieces this fall more than anything else. Really. Bows, lace, and ruffled collars..she can do no wrong. Ever. You can find all these (& more) at ModCloth.com :)
