For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with anything nautical. I have countless striped tops, high waisted shorts with gold buttons and adorable little dresses with embroidered anchors. I recently discovered HOWL clothing at the event that was held this past Saturday. The designer, Keyla Marquez is now one of my favorite independent designers. She’s incredibly talented and an absolute sweetheart. She mixes fabrics and prints flawlessly and makes nothing short of amazing. Saturday, I got to model for a Fashion Art event that was held at Hold Up Art in Little Tokyo. The event included designer trunk sales, a live lookbook, clothes from number A, giveaways, free water and alcohol, barbecue and to top it all off…cupcakes! All of this happened in the midst of Hold Up Art’s collection of contemporary art.
The designers featured: LOVE BASICS, GAS’D, Laeken, Howl, Valou, Browne and Co., Groceries, & Blake Anthony Hardy Jewelry.
