I’m kind of in love with everything from Flynn Skye. I stumbled into their LA Sample Sale on my way to have brunch with a friend and couldn’t help but flip through their racks of silk printed dresses, pants, jumpsuits and tops. This little set is one of my favorites because it’s perfectly comfortable and the ideal outfit for vacationing in Belize.

Floral printed sets – Or I guess “leaf” printed sets, in this case are perfect for Fall, if you just throw on a leather jacket and some black pumps. It’s one of the easiest outfits to wear while still looking put together and interesting. I’ve been wearing my favorite co-ords with cool outerwear to work every day and it’s been fun mixing up my wardrobe with Summer and Fall pieces.

Every time it hits mid-August, I fall into that strange transitional state where the seasons are unclear and Autumn’s around the corner, but I’m still grasping on for Summer. & although the days are perfectly warm, it’s the nights that won’t allow me to wear jacket-less outfits or mini skirts. So, I’ve started to mix up my clothing – wearing outerwear over dresses or at least propped over my shoulders and thicker socks in leather boots. Below is a good idea of what these in-between months feel like and I also think it’s the perfect outfit to wear for school or back to the office or whatever you do. TFNC London is one of my favorite UK brands, with dainty dresses and elegant gowns. It’s the perfect place for all occasions. This open back scalloped dress has been one of my summer favorites. I’ve been wearing it out to lunch and BBQs at the park.

I’ve posted blazer + short sets before and I still haven’t gotten over them. Having a serious marketing job, running my blog and online store has geared me away from casual clothing and more into the “business world”. Even if a business suit has to be a short set thats printed with flowers or palm trees…I’m all for it! Plus, you never know who you’re going to run into and it’s always nice to look professional yet fun.

I’ve spent the last 3 weekends laying around the sands of Venice and Santa Monica beach. It feels so good to be reunited with old friends and spend the last few summer days catching up and laughing hard. I really missed them all. Plus, there’s something very soothing about being there, you can’t have any worries or regrets. Maybe when you leave…but not when you’re there.
When I was younger my Dad would bring me to the beach every weekend and we would get ice cream, roller skate and sometimes he would even let me bury him and I always felt a little bit happier being there. Even if we were doing nothing.
