It’s very rare to catch me wearing jeans and looking as tough as this. I’m usually a little dainty and elegant. Even if I’m wearing a leather jacket or rugged boots, there’s typically a lace dress underneath or something of floral print. But all black is fun and switching up the norm is always refreshing, even if you’re in all black on one of the hottest days in LA. Whatevs. :p

Last weekend I stumbled upon the Brazilian Festival and Parade in West Hollywood and was somehow perfectly dressed for the extravagant event. The purples and blues of this Black Swan dress can make any skin tone stand out! I also love the unexpected slit, open back and light material of the dress. It’s one of my favorites to wear when the weather has gotten unbearably hot.

This “Gray Matter” Dress by A La Femme is perfectly pleated and so easy to wear. It can be styled up or down depending on footwear and accessories. I wore it out downtown in the Arts District, where I rummaged through vintage shops and my favorite dessert restaurants.

Black Swan came out with this amazing lace maxi that will make any girl feel beautiful. It exudes such elegance and class, and I can’t tell you how many people stop me to ask about the unique dress. I love the quality and sheer paneling, not to mention the perfectly place side split. I’ve been wearing it out for tea on Sundays, and fancy dinners during the week!
