In addition to daisies, I am really loving sunflower printed pieces this Summer. It reminds me of the 90s, especially when the printed is old and faded. It’s no surprised that I was thrilled to see Motel Rocks’ new print on swimwear, skirts, bodysuits and shorts! It makes it easy to mix and match pieces and still come out looking bright and sunny. I’ve been draped in this Sunflower Printed Midi Dress for the hotter days and it always leaves me smiling.

bare minimum.

I know that everyone is talking about minimalism when it comes to lifestyle and fashion. I agree with the ideology, especially when it comes to only taking what you need, giving up on over indulging, and being efficient in what you have. Although I won’t get over bright colors, fun prints and interestingly textured pieces, I do believe that overly-used phrase “less is more” and will be downsizing my wardrobe. It is possible to simplify your look and be stylish at the same time. I put together this summer “go to” outfit that is my epitome of “minimalism”. It’s structured and balanced while still looking crisp, clean and put together. Everything is from H&M, except the shorts, which are from Simons and come in a variety of colors. :)

Outfit Details: H&M Bag, Sandals, Striped Top, Sunglasses, Simons Shorts

falling out of love at this volume.

falling out of love at this volume.
I think it’s safe to say that summer is finally here, but instead of beach visits and impromptu trips, I’ve wanted to work harder than ever. Of course, there will be those days where I’ll stray away to museums or spend my day laying on the lawns of the Huntington but I have so many things to do, books to read and people to see. I’ve only been surrounding myself with people that I absolutely love, in some form or another and it’s nice. No obligations, just genuine happiness.

In other news, my online store Tuolomee.Clothing is up and running. I’ll be adding more items soon. To celebrate I’m throwing a launch party at Palihouse with one of my favorite people ever, Keith Wilson! If you’re in Los Angeles, RSVP Here and I’ll see you on Friday! :)

poppy fields.

poppy fields.
It’s easy to get trapped in the clutter, smoke and noises of Los Angeles. But I escape when I can; exploring small counties and hidden gems on the outskirts of the city. Antelope Valley is just one of many and it’s impossible to drive past fields of poppies without pulling over to run through them. It’s a nice change of pace and somewhat freeing to stare off into distances of orange, green and blue. It makes you realize that you are a lot smaller than you think. It’s beautiful and humbling and a little bit terrifying.

zigzagging toward the light.

I’ve always loved Zig Zag prints and I’m so thrilled to see more and more fashion brands picking up the style. It’s such a fun twist on the classic striped print and makes you stand out a bit more! The swimsuit below is one of my favorites from Seafolly, along with with their Zig Zag printed visor and cover up pleated pants. It makes for the perfect resort outfit and of course, since the print is so bold and daring, I’d tone it down with simple black and white solid pieces. :) I can only imagine myself lounging by the pool in this, reading my favorite novels and drinking smoothies.

Items: Seafolly Mod Club Malliot, Seafolly Ziggy Pleat Pants, Karl Lagerfeld Pyramid Bracelet Watch, Under One Sky Perforated Satchel, Sam Edelman Yana Sandal in Black

until the wolves are away.

until the wolves are away.
The Arts District near Downtown is becoming one of my favorite places. I find myself there more and more. Mostly because of the delicious pie from Pie Hole, galleries and street art. It’s such a creative, inspirational place! Felix and I wandered over there to snap these photos and we found an endless amount of gems like pretty quotes painted in the street, dogs in windows and perfectly painted murals.

In other news, I’m counting down the days to my Launch Party at Palihouse. I’m getting excited and nervous to get this all started and I can’t wait to add new pieces, like the one below! These little rompers are so comfortable and perfect for summer! Plus, they’re easy to dress up and down. I can easily wear these with black leather boots, a black belt and bag to a music festival. :)
