some things you do for money and some you do for love.
I’ve been listening to The Mountain Goats, because some times John Darnielle just gets me and hardly anyone ever gets me. I’m glad he’s releasing a book this Fall, Wolf in White Van. My summer reading list is packed with everything from Bukowski to BJ Novak to John Grisham. I think summer reading might be one of my favorite past times during this too hot weather, although I must admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of it in grade school.

I’ve been really busy adding more elements to my online store, Tuolomee.Clothing and will soon release custom pieces, swimwear and accessories. I can’t tell you how refreshing, creative and fun it is to do a shoot that isn’t lifestyle or conventionally “pretty”. I was thrilled to shoot with Hailley Howard again (it’s been years since the last shoot) and she is an absolute joy to work with. Plus, she’s so incredibly talented. Marlaine Reiner did Hair and Make Up, which came out perfect.

I’m addicted to stripes and structured dresses, so when I saw this on ASOS, I learned what love is. It’s one of my favorite dresses to wear out on the weekends since it’s the perfect amount of casual and dressy. I’ve been dressing it up with nude accessories and my absolute favorite heels in the world from Chloe. It seems I can never be quite free from my favorite things. Despite the amount of shoes, dresses and accessories, I always run back to these beauties. This past weekend, I wore it to a comedy show at Groundlings and I can’t tell you how many compliments I received! :)

I’ve always loved ice cream and lately my love has grown from enjoying the delicious treat to wearing it! Lately, I find myself drawn to anything “ice cream” related, whether I get to eat it or carry it, it’s becoming quite the obsession. This Ice Cream top is from Aeropostale and I’m still dawning my Touch Zero Gravity Ice Cream case that leaves me craving the dessert on heat wave days. I think I may just have the sweetest sweet teeth in the world!

Virgos Lounge has the MOST beautiful gowns I’ve ever seen. I can go on and on about their silhouettes, attention to detail and beautiful embellishments but honestly, it would be all day. I wish there were more occasions that called for floor length gowns, because I would seriously wear these every time. This little number could be perfect for black tie occasions, formal parties or even as your wedding dress.

smell the roses.
The weather’s been so beautiful out here, so I’ve been venturing outdoors more and more. I spent this past weekend traveling from garden to garden, especially since the roses are in full bloom. I think I may be addicted to beautiful sceneries and matching them with my wardrobe. I can’t tell you how many floral rompers have piled up in my closet, and it never quite seems enough.
