A heat wave is passing through Southern California, so I’ve been dawning breezy little dresses and denim jackets. I always feel like denim jackets are perfect for summer since they’re rugged and tough but a lot cooler than the typical leather motorcycle jacket. Also- I’m still not over Fanny Packs. I remember my grandma wearing one when I was little and mentioning how secure and convenient they are. & SHE WAS RIGHT! Everything I could ever need fits into this little bag, and I never have to worry about it weighing me down or getting stolen or being too heavy. It’s perfect.

I wore this out to an Easter picnic in Elysian Park a couple of weeks ago. It’s become one of my favorite pieces because I’m a huge fan of of the overlaying organza and bright orange color. I’m really into bright florals this Summer and can’t get enough of interesting open back dresses!

A few weeks ago I mentioned my growing love for jumpsuits and since then not much has changed. I’m basically living in these suits and honestly, it’s exactly the way I’d like to live. I found this floral Lovers + Friends one piece at Urban Outfitters and I couldn’t leave the store without it. It’s become one of my favorite summer items especially since it’s so colorful and fun. I’ve been wearing it at a cover up to beach and pool parties! It’s pretty perfect for any summer occasion.

I’ve had this shirt for far too long and I’ve finally decided to post it. I’m not typically one for t-shirts with phrases (or t-shirts in general) but wearing this shirt in business meetings is always quite humorous. Plus, it’s the best shirt to wear while eating pizza, attending a pizza party or going out to the pizza hut…and those are things that I find enjoyable.

palm trees and powerlines.

I’ve always had a thing for palm trees and I guess growing up in California, it’s not surprising. I remember being a child and specifically asking my Dad to drive me down streets where palm trees lined both sides. It was always one of my favorite things to look up and see. Not much has changed, I’m still spending my weekends admiring the blue skies and long stemmed plants. I guess I’ve taken it a bit further now, since I’m starting to wear palm trees on my clothes. My closets gained so many palm tree printed pieces this season and this little coordinate set is one of my favorites. I’ve been wearing it to pool parties and desert getaways!
