It looks like my girls over at Kore Swimwear have done it again with their beautiful Mirage Collection that launched yesterday. Each suit is elegant yet sexy and completely unique! I absolutely love the shapes, colors and cuts of each piece. My favorite thing about Kore Swimwear is that they know a woman’s body. Everything always fits perfectly in all the right places and the material is always the highest of quality. Not to mention the girls themselves are gorgeous and incredibly sweet! It’s hard not to love a brand that is backed by two amazing sisters! Be sure to check out their Mirage collection today and swoop up your new favorite swimsuit!

Lately I’ve been trying to spice up my business attire at my marketing job and I realized my idea of looking more “business appropriate” quintessentially means adding a blazer to whatever I would typically wear. Haha. It’s quite funny how a “blazer” really can change an entire look and even the way people treat you. Suddenly you seem more busy, professional and more sophisticated. I can’t tell you how many encounters I’ve had where people have been more respectful and attentive because I’m wearing a blazer. They even greet me with “Ma’am” or “Ms. Borland”. It’s quite funny to think an article of clothing can make such a difference, but after all presentation is always key. Below is a prime example of an every day outfit that I’d wear to the office. It’s perfect for dinner dates and meeting friends after work, since I’m pretty much ready for the night sans blazer. The dress is from Sway Chic and it’s easily one of the most versatile dresses that I own because I can wear it with anything at anytime and it never seems inappropriate or unfitting.

nude.
I love wearing nude as a neutral tone and also for full on outfits, like this one. It alway reminds me of being bare and free, kind of like a newborn baby or the sand that breaks the waves on the beach. To me, there has always been something romantic and beautiful about the soft toned color and I feel like it’s mysterious without being dark. It’s funny how everyone always associates black with mystery but I think wearing something simple and soft brings more curiosity and interesting looks.

black and white.

My dream vacation always consists of crisp whites and deep blacks. I guess I can never get tired of how rich, clean and perfectly contrasting white and black look together. Plus, I love the minimalistic look and how simple yet powerful it can be. Wearing black and white allows you to focus on the silhouette of the outfit, the textures and fit, as opposed to prints and flashy colors. Although I’m quite a fan of bold, bright colors, It’s almost refreshing to spend some days with out. I pulled some summer items from H&M to make my ideal swimwear outfit. I can imagine myself wearing all of this while laying next to infinity pools, spa beds and beach chairs. Hopefully that will happen sooner than later…

mixed up.

I’ve always been a fan of mixing and matching prints because I love bold prints being combined with even bolder prints. I got this Aztec printed bum bag (fanny pack) from Forever 21’s Free Spirit Collection and I paired it with their Forever 21 Floral Pom Hemmed Dress. Honestly, the bum bag (fanny pack) is one of my favorite things to wear now, so I’ve just been throwing it on any and everything and every time, it just works!

cheers darlin’.

I’ve been wearing this LuLu*s red dress out on Saturday nights and I’m surprised how much I stand out wearing red. It’s funny to think that we save bold colors for holidays or special occasions but fear them on “normal” days. I always have to remind myself that it’s a good thing to not blend in. My closet is quickly becoming a rainbow of dresses, skirts and blouses and I wouldn’t have it any other way. No more asking if something comes in “black” because I’m loving everything bright and bold lately.
