It is officially Fall in Southern California. The weather has gotten so cold, I can no longer wear dresses with bare legs or leave the house without a coat. I love that I can finally layer my pieces and add hats/scarves to all of my outfits. Summer always makes it hard to accessorize. This Autumn I’ll be wearing a lot of plaid, leather, tweed, and jacquard. I’ll also have a palette of muted tones like burgundy, burnt orange and olive. Oh and of course I’ll be wearing boots and thigh high socks! Check out some of my Fall inspiration for the coming season:

I’m kind of obsessed with wearing floral pinafores this Fall. I dawned this Dahlia pinafore when I went out apple picking by the mountains last month. It was one of the most beautiful days and I can’t really describe how fitting the outfit was. I’ve also been wearing it out to tea and pumpkin patching.

I’ve been browsing through last months fashion week shows and spent far too much time swooning over Jill Stuarts S/S 2014 collection. I think the entire collection can be described in two words: perfectly pretty. The looks are so simple and classic. It’s easy on the eyes but it still catches your eye. I love the matching sets and embellished pieces. It’s all pretty perfect and perfectly pretty. 😉
The last outfit is my absolute favorite. I can’t wait for it to be sold in stores..I’ll be dreaming of it until then.

Over a year ago I mentioned how heart broken I was over this candy striped dress from ASOS! It pretty much sold out instantly! I took Iomoo’s advice and stalked it on ebay until I finally found it in my size. I can’t tell you how perfect this dress is for warm days. I wore it out to the Farmer’s Market downtown, to a music festival and an audition for a Google commercial (I didn’t get it, but my outfit was spot on! :)).

It’s almost always summer when you’re living in Southern California. We have so many sporadic days that jump over 80 or even 90 degrees in the Fall. So wearing a swimsuit in October isn’t unheard of. I’ve been wearing this one from Triangl Swimwear all the time! The material is amazing and I love the fit! I’ll definitely be posting more swimwear since I’m taking advantage of the warm days!

Since Fall has just begun, I figured I’d put together the ultimate Fall outfit! This is going to be my “go to” outfit of the season and I’ll probably be wearing different versions of this outfit throughout the next few months and when it gets colder here, I’ll probably add a scarf and wear thicker tights or socks. It’s easy to wear a dress during the fall/winter season, you just need to make sure that you layer up properly. You can even wear tights with thigh high socks to keep your legs warm and still look fashionable. All of the items below are from the brand, Topshop which is now available at Nordstrom locations. You can swing by the Nordstrom location in the Brea Mall and The Shops at Mission Viejo to get the entire outfit!
