LuLu*s came out with these exclusive crop tops & pencil skirts that I absolutely love! I eyed them for quite some time before I gave in and purchased them. I think my biggest struggle with crop tops, is that it’s easy to look a little inappropriate… I used to only find crop tops acceptable when near the beach, boardwalk or at a pool party. BUT wearing this set changed my mind, since the pencil skirt matches and is a lot longer than usual, it gives it a more polished, classy look.

I love Motel Rocks clothing and I was so happy to get this daisy printed romper from there. I’ve always had a thing for Daisies, so I immediately fell in love with the print! I also love the fit of the romper and of course, that it has pockets! It’s quickly become my summer go-to, since I’ve been throwing it on when I’m in a rush, styling it up or just wearing it casually.

A couple of weeks ago I spent days listening to a wonderful summer themed song that my boyfriend was working on. Hearing it over and again put me in the perfect mind set for these sunny, ice-cream filled days that are upon us. With that song in mind and the sun shining through my laced curtains, I’ve collected some photos, quotes and books that reminded me of summer. I love finding inspiring things that set the mood for my days and bring me to a happy place of blue skies and bicycle rides. I feel like these photos do just that! Scrolling through them inspired me to re-do my summer wardrobe with more soft and bright colors, playsuits and crazy sunglasses. I want to wear pretty dresses in ice cream flavored colors with edgy accessories and interesting silhouettes. Yup! That’s what I want.

I love wearing bright colors and nude accessories. I got this criss cross romper at Macy’s a while back. It’s pretty perfect for summer since it’s short and breezy. The sunglasses were gifted by Steven Alan, I love his entire eyewear collection and was thrilled to receive my favorite pair!

Lucky Brand sent me these amazing Sienna Cigarette jeans just in time for summer. When I went to their Denim Fitting a few weeks ago, they described the style as a skinnier version of the famous ‘boyfriend jean’. I’ve never really been a fan of Boyfriend Jeans and the overall baggy, unfitted look but I think these are the perfect fit! It gives the right amount of oversize-ness, yet it isn’t ill fitting and you don’t look like you’re drowning in denim. I mean…really, I don’t want to LITERALLY look like I’m wearing my boyfriend’s jeans. That would be ridiculous and I’d be sagging and tripping every other step. Haha. So, I’m very happy with these slimmer ‘boyfriend jeans’. Anyhow, since the theme was ‘boyfriend’, I paired it with a Saint Motel shirt to go along with the overall look. 😉
