san diego: sum-more party.

I came across these photos from the Locale Magazine Issue release party in San Diego!! It was such a fun night and I was so happy seeing how the cover turned out. I figured I’d share them with you, since it was such a highlight of my career and this blog and…it was my very first cover! I’m so glad I got to share that moment with so many people that I love!

Such an incredible night!!

peonies.

As much as I love receiving flowers, I also love wearing them….especially when the sun is out! It seems like summer is always the time for bright colored floral pieces and interesting silhouettes. Peonies happen to be my favorite flowers, so I instantly loved this open back romper when I saw it online. It’s from the Marilyn Monroe Collection that’s now available at Macy’s! The whole collection is beautiful, but this was definitely my favorite piece. The colors are simple, pretty and clean and the low open back is so unexpected! I love it.

bebe summer favorites: day and night.

I’ve been swooning over BEBE’s new summer collection! I love the bold prints, classy accessories and light fabrics. The entire collection is perfect to take on your summer vacation, a cruise or even to wear at your local pool party. I put together my favorite day & night looks using BEBE items; One for a day out on the boardwalk and one for an evening dinner. I can’t really tell you how much I love the romper and I think it would be perfect with nude accessories. As for the dress, the print is beautiful and I love the bold colors. I can imagine wearing it at a fancy rooftop dinner at The Perch in Downtown or even spending the evening on the Santa Monica Pier with your closest friends.

Items: BEBE Printed Drape Romper, Bohemia Satchel, Jacqueline Metal Cuff Sandal, Crystal and Chain Link Necklace, Chainlink Crystal Bracelet (online exclusive)

Items: BEBE Printed High Low Halter Dress, Rhinestone Gradient Minaudiere, Ebony Strappy Evening Sandals, Front to Back Stone & Spike Earring, Interlocked Cocktail Ring

crochet dress.

Simple light dresses, big hats and sunglasses are my “go to” this summer. I’m loving this crochet dress from Umgee USA, it’s perfect for the hot summer and you still look stylish and cool. I paired it with all black accessories; a black sunhat from Target, Mirrored Sunglasses from Nasty Gal and Ankle Strap Heels from Forward To All!

music monday.

I haven’t made a “Music Monday” post in a while because honestly, nothing really strikes me anymore. The few bands that I’ve posted are my all time favorites and I wouldn’t post music if I didn’t absolutely love it. With that said, I’m quite impressed with Lorde, she’s a 16 year old girl with a voice and mind beyond her years. I love her voice, her style and the fact that she strays away from what typically plays on the radio. Also – DID I MENTION SHE’S SIXTEEN? I read an interview of hers and she’s quite humble and humorous with an immense amount of talent. I hope more artists like her start to emerge and we can finally put attention craving, ‘party in america’, poor example “pop singers” in the past. Anyhow, check out Lorde! I hope you enjoy her music :)

jump around.

I’ve always been hesitant to jump on the “Jumpsuit Bandwagon”… until I saw this jumpsuit from ASOS. I think the surprise open-back is what drew me to it, since it’s such a unique cut that adds just the right amount of femininity. Plus, I think pairing the jumpsuit with high heels, a cute bag and round sunglasses makes the overall look stray far away from “workers in jumpsuits”. I decided to accessorize in white to contrast the black yet still stay neutral. :) I think this is the perfect outfit for going out at night especially to a club or art event.
