everything that we hate or adore.

One of the my favorite quotes, “If you want something, then dress for it” has been popping in my mind more and more lately. Probably because I’ve been a witness to wonderful things simply because of “dressing” for it. We rarely ever talk about it but our presentation affects so much, and studies show that they way you dress and present yourself affects the way you feel mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It isn’t about looking “hot” or being seen. It’s about feeling good about yourself. I always wear things that I feel comfortable AND confident in. People always go for one or the other, but it’s important to have both. It will make an incredible difference, trust me! So find well-fitted versatile pieces and good quality basics…then mix & match! You’ll end up with tons of options that you’ll look great it!

Lately I’ve been taking my own advice and dressing in classic pieces paired with well-fitted basics. I fell in love with this turtleneck bodysuit from For Love & Lemons and have been pairing it with everything from high waisted jeans to my favorite skirts. It’s one of those pieces that you’re hesitant to buy then you end up wearing it much more than you anticipated…then you wonder how you ever even lived without it? It’s funny how that happens.
