There are very few bands that I have loved for over a decade; Conor Oberst (& his other projects) is easily one of my favorites. I think the most appealing thing about him and his music, is that he doesn’t act like he’s some big time performer or tries to make a huge production out of things. He just plays music. It’s very honest and rare, especially in a world filled with Lady Gaga’s and famous DJs. It seems like everyone is trying to be the next big thing. Not him. & that’s what I love.

Here’s one of my favorite songs, “Common Knowledge” off of his newest album “Upside Down Mountain”, which I highly recommend.
