I finally got around to catching up on the spring/summer 2013 collections. I know, I know…I’m super behind. But sometimes life gets in the way. Anyway, I’ll be posting my favorite pieces from my favorite collections for the rest of the month. Here’s Moschino S/S 2013. I love the boldness and the brightness, the stripes and the patterns. It’s all so mod, in the very best way. I especially love the coats and the last few crochet pieces.

I think today was the first sign of Fall, with gloomy skies and sweater weather. Rumor has it that later in the week, rain’s going to pour out from the sky. I will be so happy if it does because I love the way the streets smell after it rains, like a much needed bath or a nice swim. It’s very refreshing and humbling and quite sad in a way. Isn’t it strange how when it’s hot we long for the cold and vice versa? We always want what we can’t have and we never want what we do. How funny we all are. I’m sure in 3 months, I’ll be longing for the sun to shoot out from the clouds. Anyhow, Captain took these photos of me while we were out exploring LA, these are probably some of my favorite photos we’ve ever taken.

Since this California summer is taking far too long to end, adding Fall staples into my wardrobe is a very slow process. I’m beginning to top off my summer dresses, shorts and mini skirts with sweaters, long sleeve tops and collared blouses. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever get over Peter Pan collars, especially when they have a twist, like an additional lace and pearl trim. You will definitely see me wearing more bedazzled collars this coming Fall. If Fall ever arrives…

California only feels like Fall at night, when the weather cools down too much to the point you have to throw something on. But it’s too warm for coats and too cold for bare shoulders, so a sweater is the perfect choice. I compiled a list of my top five favorite sweaters for this weird transition from Extremely Hot to Excruciating Cold.

Last week I modeled for this on-going Jarritos print campaign that I’m a part of. If you aren’t aware of Jarritos, it’s a beverage company and probably the only soda I’ll ever drink. Really…They have Pineapple soda! It’s unreal. Anyway, the shoot was fun and the entire team was amazing to work with. I feel like I’m having withdrawals now because I spent 10 hour days with them, 4 days straight and now we’re off living our separate lives. It’s sad to think about..I can’t wait to shoot with them again next month! Here are some behind-the-scenes photos the crew instagram’d while we were shooting:
