juliet.

Last Saturday was the Downtown LA Prom hosted by LA Canvas. The theme was Romeo + Juliet… but I may have been the only person that followed the guidelines. Haha. I guess that’s usually the case. I wore a peter pan collared lace dress courtesy of Oasap.com. It was dainty and innocent; everything that a modern Juliet would wear, I suppose!

float on.

I spent last Saturday with My Mom and long time friend, C. Captain on the rooftop of The Thompson Beverly Hills. The “On The Go Beauty” Event was held there and they pampered My Mom & I with manicures, hair & make up styling, an open bar, free food and desserts! It was such a lovely day. My Mom rarely goes out, so I was thrilled to have her in LA with me. She enjoyed herself so much, that she didn’t want to leave! Haha.

I finally got to wear this triple tiered, high low hem dress from 8000 Nerves! It’s unlike anything else and with the right amount of wind, you don’t walk..you float by. It’s definitely a must-have for every girl that wants to feel beautiful!

crowned bird.

Let’s talk about things that makes us happy? For me, it’s this brand new line Crowned Bird. I’m starting to work with Crowned Bird (I’m even modeling their new editorial!) and it has become such a great experience. The designer, Priscilla is a close friend of a friend with endless talent and possibilities. Her personality is bright, fun, eccentric and all the wonderful things that leave you feeling giddy. She has put together this adorable collection and I have fallen in love with every single piece! But in order for it to go into production, we’ll have to raise money through kickstarter! Here’s a look at the collection:

My favorite look!!

If you love this as much as I do, please donate anything you can to fund this amazing line. I’d love for everyone to be able to wear it one day! & remember- If you do pledge 50 dollars or more, you’ll be entered in a raffle to win 1,000 dollars worth of Crowned Bird Clothing! YAY! :)

baby pink.

I’m starting to feel like my weekends are more busy and exhausting than my week days. This past weekend there were so many events and parties, yet so little time. It’s moments like these where I wish I could clone myself and be in two places at once…just to make sure I don’t miss out on anything. Ha! Anyway, I’ll tell you all about my weekend later..there’s just way too much to write! :)

Now onto a recent outfit! Lately, I’ve fallen in love with baby pinks and baby blues..the simple, light hearted, pastel colors leave me dreaming of cotton candy, macaroons and ice cream cones (three of my favorite things!). I think these colors are so refreshing for spring and summer! So, I was happy to wear this light pink, polka dot dress from Lulus.com. It’s sheer, flowy and even has pockets! Not to mention, the beautiful chevron draping that meets in the middle!

Outfit Details: Darling Peach Dress from Lulus.com, Topshop Laced Heels, Marc Jacobs Baby Boxy Bag, Vintage Belt

I hope you all had a lovely weekend & a Happy Mother’s Day!

ivi vision.

I did a quick shoot for the new eyewear company IVI Vision. The company was founded by Rob Dyrdek, Pete Fox and Jerome Mage and I was happy to be involved in any way. Their entire team is so much fun and so down to earth…not to mention, they make the best sunglasses ever. Really. I’ve been looking for the perfect “Cat Eye” Sunglasses and their Daggerwing Sunglasses are better than I could have imagined. Anyway, IVI Vision launches today, so be on the lookout! You can check out their other styles here! :)

top five thursday.

I’ve never been much of a fan of jewelry. Actually, the only “jewelry” I really wear is an elephant ring on my left index finger and a shoelace that my boyfriend wrapped around my wrist. So, I guess it’s ironic that I share the same name as the world famous jewelry store. Haha. I definitely won’t be calling diamonds, “my best friend” anytime soon, but lately I have been getting much more into accessorizing outfits. Especially when those outfits are compiled of basic pieces. I think jewelry and accessories can really transform a simple outfit into something extravagant. Anyhow, here are my top five favorite accessories for Summer:

Dahlia Collar Necklace
This will give any collar-less dress or top the perfect touch. It’s simple yet eye-catching.

Fresh Trends Jewelry Store
Simple Studs, Earrings and even Nose Rings can add a bit of flair.

Headpieces from Revolve Clothing
I think Headpieces have become a staple for “festival fashion”. They’re great with Maxi dresses and long, wavy hair.

Harnesses from ASOS
Instantly make any plain dress, edgy by adding a simple chain harness.

Cuffs by Michael Kors
A solid cuff is always a statement piece! It often brings together the entire outfit.

Well, there you have it! My favorite jewelry items for Summer! I’ll definitely be incorporating these pieces into my style this season :) What are your favorite jewelry items?
