My friend’s band, JJamz finally released their first single. I remember going to their shows years ago, when I wasn’t sure if the band was just a hobby or something they took seriously. I’m glad to see it’s the latter and that they released a music video on Rollingstone.com. I wish them so much success or even more success in some cases. The band includes members from Maroon 5, Phantom Planet, The Like, Bright Eyes and Rilo Kiley! Anyhow, check out the single “Never Enough”, it’s one of my favorite songs by them. Hip hip!
I can’t wait for their album to release.

I wore this outfit a while back to attend the Chambers Runway Show and After Party. Whenever I attend a runway show, I like to keep my look simple and classic by wearing pieces that never go out of style. I think lace will always be linked to elegance, no matter what’s currently “in”. So it’s always a go-to for me when I feel like looking a bit more fancy while still being in style. Anyhow, the Chambers show was amazing as usual and it’s still one of my favorites for menswear. My friend, Devin Carlson knows what he’s doing!

I did this shoot a while back with photographer, Zrinka Dozic. I love the soft, faded look of her photos, so I was thrilled to shoot with her. I was also happy that I got to wear one of my favorite 8000 Nerves dresses from their Spring 2012 Collection! I love the tiny details of this dress; The crocheted collar, the side split and the asymmetrical hem. Also, mint is one of my favorite colors this spring/summer season, so it’s absolutely perfect!

When I stumbled upon this editorial “Como Brigitte” in Vogue Spain May 2012, I couldn’t help but anticipate Summer. Here in California, we’ve been getting small doses of Summer but the random rainy days and sudden windy nights remind me that it isn’t here just yet. Anyway, the editorial features model, Hailey Clauson and photographer, Paola Kudacki, but my favorite person involved in this shoot was stylist Melanie Huynh. Not only did she pull the right pieces, she captured the essence of summer in such a dream-like way. With soft tones, different textures and unique embellishments, each outfit comes together perfectly.
