I know Easter was a couple of weeks ago, but I’ve been in such a whirlwind of events that I just got around to taking photos of my Easter outfit. It was such a wonderful Easter Sunday. It was filled with egg-hiding & hunting, brunching, picnic-ing, movie watching and Easter egg decorating.

This weekend I skipped out on Coachella and all the parties that surround it. The weather hasn’t been as great as it usually is this time of year and I’d hate to take on the cold winds out there in the desert. Though next weekend those feelings might change, for right now it feels much more suitable to stay in taking long bubble baths and adding another chapter to my book. Did I mention I started writing a book? It won’t be finished anytime soon, but I’m very proud of it. Anyhow, I have many outfit posts to come.. this spring/summer season has given me so many new additions to my closet. I can’t wait for you all to see!

Last night, A/J & I went with a friend to the Nylon 13th Anniversary party. I wasn’t able to take many photos, but it had everything from an in-n-out truck to cupcakes to a flipbook photobooth. Oh yeah, and Freida Pinto! Who looked gorgeous. I wore a bright yellow peter pan collared dress and my Stella McCartney T-strap heels.

I’ve recently spent a great deal of my free time looking at fashion websites and tumblr blogs for spring inspiration (spring-spiration?) and saved SO many photos. I’ve noticed this spring, I’m all about pastels, eyelet pieces, bold patterns, detachable collars and hi lo hems! A couple of weeks ago, my brother and I took a spontaneous trip to Austin, TX for South by South West. I had been debating about going to SXSW for some time, but things would come up and plans would fall through and when I had just about given up on going… we found a ride and drove for 22 hours straight. It was such a great decision and such an amazing time. We made friends, lost friends and then found them a few feet away. Everything was exciting and just so..nice. As soon as we got there, we ran into some LA friends and watched M. Ward and The Shins perform. But I anticipated seeing my boyfriend the most..it had been a month since we’d been apart and it was nice to wrap my arms around him. There is something so jovial and invigorating when you see someone you had missed so dearly and it had been such a long time since I had been so happy to see anyone. How refreshing. We spent the rest of SXSW discovering music, going to events and having fun, fun, fun.
