valentine’s favorites.

valentine’s favorites.
I’ve never really been a sucker for Valentine’s Day but I’ve also never turned down an opportunity to dress up. I know that every girl will be dawning red or pink, & I love those colors because they’re bold and bright. But I’d probably wear them when the rest of America wasn’t. I think a simple yet sexy black lace dress like this Matthew Williamson embellished piece paired with steaming red accessories is the perfect edge for your Valentine’s look. & I found the Nila Anthony heart clutch in red and it’s absolutely perfect. I posted it in black in the post prior. 😛

dose luncheon with stella rosa.
I attended the beautiful Daily Dose Cafe in the arts district of LA for their fashion blogger luncheon. The event had adorable Stella Rosa minis decorating the table along with flowers and leaf name places. It’s always nice to meet your fellow Los Angeles bloggers and have a girls day with delicious food and brands such as Woodzee, Black Swan, Nila Anthony, Tavik Swimwear, Motel Rocks, Tieks, and many many more. Events like this really make blogging so much more than just a computer screen and photos. I spent the afternoon catching up with old friends, learning about new brands and laughing with the girls. :)

i’ve been meaning to call.
Days are flying by so quickly and it’s all a whirlwind of outfits, fashion events and dinners. Before I left to San Francisco, I attended the Daily Dose Cafe Blogger Luncheon (which I will be posting photos from soon) and it was everything beautiful, classic and feminine. I wore this pretty open back crop top and maxi skirt from Motel Rocks with a vintage coin belt. It made for the perfect every day ‘upscale’ outfit, whether you’re going to brunch, dinner or out on a date. Maybe even for Valentines with a pop of red lipstick and this infamous Heart Clutch from Nila Anthony, which has become my new favorite bag!

simplicity.

simplicity.
I’ve been all about simplifying outfits lately; Wearing great quality basics and high quality accessories that I can use over and over again. These outfits are perfect for every day; errands, meetings, coffee runs, the office. I love how casual yet sophisticated you come off and it really is so easy to wear. :) Just pair your favorite jeans with a classic white button down with sleek heels and you’re good to go!

eye of the beholder.

eye of the beholder.
I drive past this multi-colored building ever day and I remember the process of it being painted and when it finally became Eighty Two, a hipster’d out “barcade” complete with every vintage arcade game that you can think of. Although I’ve only been a few times, I’m always intrigued by the colors and the art. I’ve been wanting to shoot here for some time now and thought this vintage denim dress would be perfect.

For the past few months, I’ve been drawn to everything denim. Whether its a shirt, dress, shorts or jacket. I love styling it up or down and it’s really SO easy to wear. Denim goes with everything. Although I wouldn’t recommend wearing it to anything too upscale… 😛

outfit timeline 2014: september – december
2014 was probably one of my favorite years. I feel like my style matured in a much more upscale and professional way, due to business meetings and dinner parties. I learned more brands and loved more brands and collaborated with all of them. I officially launched my own store and made over my whole blog. Everything became something that I was proud of and in a way, in love with. I’m excited for 2015, as it is already outshining 2014 in many many ways. I cannot wait to share with you everything I have in store (literally) at tuolomee.clothing, as well as in my personal closet and life. :* For now, here’s a quick timeline from the last quarter of last year.
