Black Swan Everything.

Black Swan Everything.
I’ve been looking for the perfect fitting black dress and I’m pretty sure Black Swan nailed it with their Kelsey Dress. It’s the perfect dress for a night out with the girls or even to meet the boys’ parents over dinner. It’s short but sexy yet completely conservative for any occasion. I paired my LBD here with mary jane heels and a leather satchel. Oh and a tough leather jacket from Black Swan to add a bit of edge. :p

I’ve mentioned my new love for denim quite recently, and it has yet to die down in the least bit. I’ve been wearing denim skirts, shirts and jackets non stop. I fell in love with this vintage denim button skirt and paired it with a striped shirt for a quick casual “go-to”. Now, I know I normally don’t wear flats, or sneakers but I couldn’t help but pair it with these clean white keds. I feel like this would be the perfect look to spend the day on the pier or out on a boat. Ha.

Wanna know a secret for looking edgy without trying? Find the perfect leather jacket that fits you in all the right places! Seriously..I’ve been pairing this leather motorcycle jacket from Nasty Gal with just about every shift dress that I own. It instantly transforms every outfit and makes it look like I put effort into getting ready…When really I just threw on this TFNC London Dress, paired it with this jacket and Carlo Pazolini boots and done! I’m ready to go. :)

Paradise Point certainly lives up to it’s name! I spent a quick vacation exploring the hidden gem off the coast of San Diego and it was more of an adventure than anything else. The tiny island is literally down “Vacation Road” and connected only by bridges near Mission Bay. You can even rent bikes and ride into town to hang out with the locals…or just stay on the island, since there’s so much to do. I honestly wish I stayed for longer because I wanted to check out the Bay Cruise and at least attempt to sail. Paradise Point has everything from (amazing!) restaurants to fitness spas to mini golf to a full service marina. Seriously…you can take a water taxi to Sea World if you wanted. I opted for jet skis and cruised along the bay.

I have to admit, having a room that was a few feet from the bay, had to have been my favorite part of my stay. There’s nothing more refreshing than waking up to sand at your door and a beautiful view. I spent the majority of my days lounging by the bay, one of their many pools and checking out the lagoon. At nights we started a bon fire and made s’mores just near the water. It was the perfect time and this has easily become one of my favorite spots in San Diego!

Technically, we’re still in “winter”, but it feels like Summer. I think our winter here in California lasted a record breaking 3 days, where it kind of rained on and off. I’ve been making the most of the warm weather and hitting the pool or the beach wearing suits by Minimale Animale. They make the sleekest swimwear, that is somewhat daring and risky in the most “minimal” of ways. You can check out their Spring/Summer 2015 Collection at RevolveClothing.com. :)

make a plan to love me.

make a plan to love me.
Every one is talking about tomorrow as if it is life or death; whether you have someone to spend it with or not. I’m not all too concerned with the “holiday”, I’d just like to dress well and get everything done that I need to. I celebrated love, earlier in the week and wore this perfectly red dress by Black Swan Clothing. I paired here with a leather motorcycle jacket to make me look more tough than I am, and a heart clutch by Nila Anthony. It was a perfect night.

Yesterday I finished reading Emergency by Neil Strauss and Post Office by Charles Bukowski. I recommend them both greatly. I’ve finally started Dear Theo which is a collection of letters that Vincent Van Gogh wrote to his brother, Theo. When it comes to love (which often times I am unfamiliar with the concept in general) he is clear to describe it as something “mutual”, which I understood and appreciated in far too many ways. So for, Valentine’s Day and every day actually, I find myself wondering about the deepest loves and have found that I have reciprocally felt it, at it’s best and at it’s most, during arrivals and departures. Where it has consumed me entirely; seeping into every pore of my skin all the way down to the smallest vertebrae of my spine. & I think that that is love and it should not be confused or replaced by anything else. I guess I am just anxiously awaiting an arrival, at the moment…
