The weather has slightly started to cool down here in California and I’ve been managing to stay warm by throwing on little jackets. I paired this cream lace motorcycle jacket with cream heels and a Marc Jacobs phone box (that I’m a bit crazy about). The phone box is perfect for your most needed items: phone, debit card, ID, cash. I mostly wear it out to festivals, music concerts or quick parties that I plan on just dashing in and out of. It’s the perfect size when you don’t want to carry much but still want something unique.

I get so tired of “fashion rules” like when you can and can’t wear something and what you can wear with what…etc. etc. I especially hate the “no white after Labor Day” rule. I actually never quite understood it anyway. I guess you’re not supposed to wear white after Labor Day or before Easter? Well, I like white and I hate limitations, so the rule doesn’t quite work out in my favor. Either way, I rediscovered this white crochet overalls from LuLu*s and I just had to accessorize it with all white! I love how clean and simple a colorless outfit is!

This past summer I’ve been dawning pale pinks and blues and pairing it all with nude accessories. It’s become my “go-to”…well, until the grass and the trees lose their green and I’m stuck in burgundies and navy blues. So, I’m just going to enjoy these pretty pastels until the clouds block out the sun for 2-3 months. It makes sense to dress synonymous with the weather, but sometimes I just like dressing for how I’d like to feel and soft colors are so dainty and dreamy. I wore this out for lunch in downtown and a quick dessert stop at my favorite restaurant, Bottega Louie.

Plaid is one of my favorite Fall trends this season. I’ve been tying it at my waist, wearing it as a pinafore or even mixing it up with leather jackets. I paired this one from ASOS with a white cropped top and a brown leather jacket from American Rag! Oh and my favorite Chloe heels, that never seem to go out of style!

I think Summer played a mean trick on us Californians. It’s suddenly record breaking-ly hot and I’ve found myself dressing more for Summer instead of preparing for Fall. I came across this amazing jumpsuit at Urban Outfitters a while back and I loved the cut-out midriff and the illusion that it’s two separate pieces. Jokes on you! It’s a one piece and it’s incredible. I finally got to wear it out during this heat wave and it was so breezy and light!

I came across this custom made vintage set one day in Huntington Beach. I have such a strong love for matching short sets, so I quickly purchased this along with two others. The speckled print reminds me of an old composition book, which brings back memories to when I used to spend too much of my time scribbling and sketching in them. It’s strange when you realize how far away those moments are and how much things have changed since then. Anyway, I ran into my friend Jesse while shooting this outfit and it was so great seeing him.. even if it was brief. Friendly faces are always nice to see.
