Grand Ferdninand in Vienna

Brunch at Grand Ferdinand

Schonbrunn Palace

St. Stephen’s Cathedral

Albertina

Vienna, Austria is such a beautiful city with architecture, history and art spewing from every direction. Here are a few travel tips –
-We stayed in the heart of Vienna in October. The weather was nice and it wasn’t too crowded. It was a bit chilly at night and it did rain once, so bring a coat.
-If you’d like to visit tourist-y spots, make sure you go early (right when it opens) or midday (when the crowds have died down a bit). Otherwise you’ll be waiting in line for the majority of your day and squeezing into crowded areas.
-Buy tickets in advance and make reservations. I’ve noticed the ticket line has been the longest wait for most museums/restuarants/etc.
Some of my favorites –
-Hotels: Grand Ferdinand The staff is so friendly, the rooftop view is amazing and they have quite possibly the most beautiful brunch in the world.
-Museums: Albertina Museum, Schönbrunn Palace, Hofburg (all great museums, Schönbrunn Palace is my favorite!)
-Restaurants:Ribs of Vienna – THIS PLACE IS DELICIOUS! large portions and great people, just make sure to get a reservation.
-Food: Weinerschnitzel –It’s at every restaurant, so you have to try it! The Ribs at Ribs of Vienna
-Desserts: Apfelstrudel (always delicious)
This was one of my favorite places to visit since you can never see enough. There are so many other restaurants, museums and activities that I need to go back and see! If you have any other recommendations or things you love in Vienna…feel free to leave a comment <3
