Hallstatt has to be one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever visited. It has amazing views, buildings and of course, the lake. It’s about a 2 hour drive outside of Salzburg and I highly recommend going for at least a day or two. We didn’t have nearly enough time since we took a tour (which I don’t recommend). There are a lot of tiny shops, hotels, boat rides, etc. You can even do the sky view, which takes you to the top of the mountains where you can hike, dine, etc. This is an absolute MUST place to visit, if you’re in Austria.
