| I went to the Jen Awad fashion show at the Ace Gallery in LA. I was so happy to attend and see such beautiful pieces. Jen Awad’s work is so lively and feminine, complete with bold colors and strong silhouettes. Perfect for a girl that’s independent and knows what she wants. My favorite pieces had to be the sheer black peter pan collared dress and the transparent blue raincoat. I wish it rained more in California, just so I had a reason to buy that raincoat. Ha. Aside from Jen’s amazing work, the gallery was filled with installments from the artist The Date Farmers and I loved everything. The art was so vibrant and eye-catching, that it made you want to find a place on your own walls to hang them up.

scalloped.
| I’ve been such a fan of scalloped hems, so of course I was thrilled to find these shorts…that ACTUALLY fit. I’m so used to having to get all my clothes altered, so I’m glad these ran small.

week of october second and ninth.
| I’m still compiling all the photos from the previous weeks. Here’s some moments that I captured during the first couple of weeks in October.
Zooey Magazine had an event on the rooftop pool at the W. There were so many wonderful people and companies there that it was somewhat overwhelming. My arms were filled with everything from headphones to gourmet cookies to clothing to nail polish. I ended up walking away with so many gift bags that I looked like I went on a shopping spree at South Coast Plaza.

Finally went to the Magic Castle for my friends’ boyfriends’ birthday! It’s kind of like Medieval Times or any of those other “Dinner & Show” type places. I loved the shows (especially the ventriloquist act) and the food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten!

AJ & I went on an adventure to the Japanese Garden in Van Nuys. It was SO beautiful and peaceful. We even learned how to make origami flowers…

Went to the Culture Collide Festival in EchoPark. I also went last year when they had Jenny&Johnny perform and honestly this year..I wasn’t to impressed with the lineup. I showed up just to see friends and hang out.

catwomannnnnn.
| I went to my first Halloween party this past Monday and it was somewhat of a success and somewhat of a failure. A success because my costume was a hit and a failure because I was practically the only person in a costume. Ha. But it happens! I just walked around like it was supposed to be that way. Now I have about five more Halloween parties to attend before October is over. Hope my costume doesn’t wear out. :/

What are you being for Halloween? Post pictures/links/whatever! I want to see everyone’s costumes!

little lion man.
| I wore this all the way back in August while I was in Chicago. I miss it there so much. I keep thinking of going back and possibly spending a month there. It would be nice to get away. Speaking of Chicago and this past summer.. I’ve been writing a novel. It’s all about my trips and I’m pretty pleased with it so far. I think when I’m finished, I’ll be happier than I am right now. Which says a lot because on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the happiest ever), I’m probably about a 9. I always go with 9 because there’s always something better.

Outfit Details: Gap Sweater, H&M lace top & H&M shorts. Oh& I mentioned a giveaway a while ago. I think when I get 1000 followers, I’ll do one! It will be a 50 dollar gift card to a place I haven’t decided yet. Yay!!

week of september twenty-fifth.
| These were all taken back in September. I got to see Bright Eyes perform at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. He played most of my favorite songs and was nothing less than incredible, but I felt the show ended too soon and I was left wanting more. I guess that would always be the case, though. I did also go to TarFest that same weekend. It was held at the La Brea TarPits in LA and was so much fun. I got to see my friends band play while hanging out with a bunch of my favorite people.
