birthdayyyy!

birthdayyyy!
I’ve always loved being born in January because it gives a whole new meaning to a “New Year”, when you’re growing with it. I celebrated my twenty fifth birthday on Friday, and had nothing but ear to ear smiles and the loudest laughs that rang over the entirety of the weekend. I’ll save my birthday festivities for a separate post but you can follow my current celebrations on Instagram. For now, here’s what I wore to have lunch at everyone’s favorite downtown restaurant, Bottega Louie. It’s a must stop place for anyone visiting LA and a frequent place for those who live in LA. I of course ordered their delicious lasagna and topped it off with one of their award winning desserts complete with a “happy birthday”. :)

outfit timeline 2014: january – april
2014 went by so quickly! I spent the year growing, developing and meeting goals. I finally got to open my online store and collaborate with my favorite fashion companies like Missguided, ASOS and bebe! In modeling, I got my first billboard in Time Square and also print ads arounds around the world. I’m so grateful to have spent another year bettering myself and sharing a piece of me, with all of you. I do read every comment and keep you all in mind during every post! Thank you for sticking by my side during 2014 and I can’t wait to see how things shape up during 2015. Here’s a look back at some of my outfits from January – April 2014:

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I’m very sad to see holiday season come to an end, but happy to bring on 2015. There are many exciting things ahead and I’m slowly gathering ideas and working on new projects! I’m currently fighting off the bipolar Los Angeles weather, there’s such a drastic difference between day and night, I think this is where the phrase “difference is day and night” came about.

new year’s eve favorites

I’m not really a fan of New Year’s Eve, but one thing I am a fan of is: Dressing Up. I’ll take any reason, even if it means avoiding New Year’s kisses and overly drunk people. Have I mentioned that I don’t drink — at all? I’ve had two drinks my whole life and have somehow just stuck with that. Alcohol has never interested me and I’ve never felt like I needed it for social reasons, although I do hang out with people who drink heavily. Anyhow, I usually choose work over New Year’s Eve parties but this year I’ll be at a rollerskating Studio 54 themed party and I’ll have fun dressing for the occasion. How are you spending New Year’s Eve?

I pulled some of my favorite New Year’s Eve items from Topshop (which is having a 50% off sale, by the way!) to make my perfect outfit for the night! I love the soft yet shiny pink, that steps away from the typical gold and silver you see on New Year’s. I paired it with some metallic accessories and a matte pink strappy heel!

black and white and red all over

black and white and red all over
My favorite menswear look has always been the classic tuxedo, so naturally I love putting a feminine twist on the masculine piece and making it perfectly suited for me! I scored this Nasty Gal dress during their Black Friday Sale and have been styling it with thigh high boots, large overcoats and minimal accessories. I love the bold two tone look and how it’s so simple, yet intriguing! I think no matter what, black will always look perfect with white.
