I literally just got in from an impromptu adventure to Detroit, Minneapolis and St.Louis. It’s hard to believe that it’s still a winter wonderland over there and I hardly packed appropriately. Even though the snow was rather beautiful (from a car window and heated suites), I couldn’t get over how numbingly cold it was. Needless to say, I’m glad to be home after my week long adventure. I had packed pretty dresses like the one below and wore them to all of the shows. This one is from Jones+Jones.

Red roses always make me think of Valentine’s Day, so I felt like this For Love & Lemons Romper was only fitting. It was a limited edition piece, with only a few made and I can’t tell you how many compliments I get when I wear it out. It’s definitely one of my favorite things to throw on to grab brunch or meet with friends or even for Valentine’s Day date!

It’s no surprise that I made an impulsive purchase as soon as I saw this navy and white striped set from ASOS. I think I was a sailor in a past life because half of my wardrobe consists of navy & white striped rompers, sailor collared coats and anchor printed dresses. I plan on wearing this when the weather warms up and I can spend my weekends on the Santa Monica boardwalk with A/J. It’s funny how I anticipate future events and outings only because I’m excited to wear a specific outfit, but I guess we all have a little bit of that in us.

I’m kind of obsessed with military/officer/sailor attire…Maybe I just like to be in uniform. Either way, I was so thrilled to get this Stella McCartney Jacket that was military inspired. It’s actually a little boys’ jacket but I can squeeze into a size 10 kids…so it works out! I styled it here with Chanel Double Strap Heels and an officer hat! This is probably one of my favorite outfits to wear since it feels like I’m low key dressing up. ;P

outfit timeline 2013: may – august.
|
I’m in Arizona for some marketing meetings and finally spent some of my free time following up my January – April timeline post. It’s funny how quick time goes by when you’re flying from here to there. I completely forgot about NYFW this month and agreed to spend company time in Arizona instead. Oh well, I’ll be at the next one in September and either way, work is work. :p Anyhow, here are my summertime outfits from 2013. Of course, this isn’t all…just a quick recap of my favorites.
I’ll be doing September – December soon. Stay tuned!

On my birthday, I coincidentally wore this Nishe sea shell suit thinking that I was going to work but unbeknownst to me, I was actually boarding a ship to Mexico. My face dropped as A/J drove past by my work exit and headed towards the Long Beach port. It was a wonderful surprise and my outfit was quite fitting with an ocean as a backdrop and a cruise ship with an interior similar to the Titanic. It had to have been one of the best days of my life.
