There aren’t many collections that seem to sum me up.. but with doll like dresses and knee high socks, Red Valentino does a good job at it. This is probably my favorite collection for fall/winter 2013. I love the mixed, baroque and plaid prints, elegant silhouettes, and braided bow hair. It’s almost like a combination of kitsch, fairytales and the 1600s. I especially love the looks with coats and my all time favorite is the peplum pinafore. It almost makes me wish I didn’t live in California, so I can wear such layers.

H&M is one of my all time favorite stores. They’ve pretty much mastered making fashionable clothing affordable. So, I was thrilled to be a part of the H&M X LOOKBOOK.NU Collaboration. I styled this H&M coat with black H&M shorts and Marc Jaocbs Heels. Also, please excuse my hair..It was a super windy day when I shot these, so my hair was a mess but at least the coat kept me warm! 😉

I never got around to making a post about “Must Have’s” but if I did, the perfect petticoat would be at the top of the list! I’ve grown such a love for petticoats, they really make a difference when wearing skirts and dresses. I’ve always felt that the silhouette of a garment is important and when you wear a petticoat, everything is so much fuller and just overall, prettier. I probably should have taken a photo without the petticoat, so you can see how drastically different it is, but I guess that would be a great idea for a future post. For now, here’s a dress that I wore a petticoat underneath.

micro temptations in february vogue china.

I came across this editorial “Micro Temptations” in the February issue of Vogue China and it’s one of the prettiest and well put together features that I’ve seen in a while. I like that it’s starring Cara Delevingne, who has quickly become one of the most sought after models. I also like the styling, the colors and the simplicity of this story as a whole. It’s not overdone or overstyled or anything actually. It just shows how wearable these pieces are in an every day setting and I like when editorials seem attainable.

I’m always drawn to mustard tones and patterned shirts when the sun isn’t hiding behind clouds. So, it’s no surprise that this is one of my favorite summer outfits. Plus, with the bold colors and vintage print, it reminds me of a Rilo Kiley song (Did you hear about the new album?) which is a pretty good thing to be reminded of. Now, if only California can go back to being warm enough to wear something like this. Ha.

I’ve been so lazy when it’s come to taking photos of my day to day! It’s just so much easier to snap moments with my phone and update instagram. Either way, I figured I’d post a few instagram highlights from the month of January. Which was probably one of the best months of my life! I spent it celebrating my birthday, vacationing in the mountains, working and working, shooting with the incredible Angela Dietz, eating tons of desserts and day dreaming in LA.
