I don’t think I’ll ever fall out of love with this Marc Jacobs Dita Lace Dress. When I saw it on the runway back in 2007 and again on Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl, I just knew I had to have it. I feel like it’s one of those dresses that you’ll never get tired of and it will always be “in”. It may even be my favorite item from Marc Jacobs ever. It’s so easy to dress up or down, with heels or flats, tights or bare legs, a jacket or on it’s own; It’s perfect. I wore it here with Marc Jacobs Ballet Heels, a vintage clutch and leather jacket.

I feel like everyone always has mixed feelings about Valentine’s Day. I mean, it’s easy to feel lonely or desperate or even let down but you shouldn’t let one day get you upset. I never really cared about this commercially developed holiday because it’s silly to dedicate just one day to loving someone, when you should be affection and giving year-round. Plus, you shouldn’t ever feel like you “need” someone just for the sake of having someone. Ugh. Anyway, the one thing I do love about this “holiday” is that I can finally get away with wearing a lot of red, too much pink and plenty of hearts without looking too quirky. You know what I mean…I’m looking at you, Zooey Deschannel. So, I picked out my favorite V-day dress and accessories! Complete with a heart shaped box of macarons. :p

I’ve always loved shapewear, I think it’s so easy to wear and it makes your overall outfit look much better! When Vedette contacted me to feature their shapewear along with a giveaway for my readers, I was thrilled! I love collaborating with companies that I feel make quality products and that I think you all would love to! I’m wearing the Judith BodySuit in this outfit, styled as a daytime, office look. I think since the design is so simple and pretty, it can be worn as a “sexy” top as well as underneath garments, to give a better fit.
Outfit Details: Vedette Body Suit, H&M Blazer and Shorts, Marc Jacobs Oxford Heels. Vedette Giveaway Info: Three winners will win one Vedette Shapewear each! In order to enter, you must “LIKE” Vedette on Facebook, FOLLOW Vedette on Twitter and “LIKE” Tuolomee on Facebook. Leave a comment with your email, so I can contact you if you won! Good luck! I went on a surprise trip for my birthday weekend and it was kind of amazing. The day before we left, A/J told me to pack warm clothes, so I loaded up with coats and hats and scarves. It took a while to get there and when we finally did, my eyes turned into waterfalls and I was left without words. It was so pretty and so perfect in Lake Arrowhead. We stopped off at Santa’s Secret Village, which was my favorite place to go when I was younger. Imagine a Christmas themed amusement park in the snow, with a reindeer petting zoo, Gingerbread factory and a train! It closed down long ago, but we went in and relived my childhood memories. We stayed in a cozy, little cabin on the top of a hill and it was beautiful in every way. It really was the nicest time I’ve ever spent, where the ground was covered in a blanket of snow and I was bundled up in layers upon layers. I can’t recall the last time I’ve been that happy.
Such an amazing time!

I had finally got around to getting this ASOS dress altered before A/J took me away to the mountains. I’m so happy that I had it because it fit in with the cabin decor and I loved wearing it around the fire while sipping apple cider. I will make a post soon filled with beautiful photos from our wonderful trip but until then, here’s another outfit that I wore and a few polaroids that I got around to scan:

I’m not quite cut out for cold weather, or anything under 60 degrees, to be honest. I was born and raised in sunny Southern California, so white blankets of snow, frozen lakes and wearing overly layered clothing is very foreign to me! But either way, I didn’t break my skirt-wearing habit and I layered up with scarves and hats. 😛
